| Born in Russell County Kentucky.
Marvin became a musician at the early age of 7. His parents bought a piano
and Marvin quickly knew that music would become his
passion. Playing mainly in his home, Marvin taught
himself the keys, and soon began writing songs. By
the time Marvin reached high school, he had
already developed a style of his own, blending with his
smooth, soulful voice with his musicianship, Marvin was
ready to perform. Marvin soon started his own band "Soul Sounds Unlimited".
Playing primarily school functions and events, and even
sneaking into a few clubs in the surrounding counties.
Later on he moved from Jamestown to Lexington,
KY where he played in clubs such as The Grapevine, A1A and various other nightclubs in Lexington.
After a run with a Lexington Blues Band, Marvin decided
to go solo and concentrate primarily on writing and
recording his own music. Within the past year,
Marvin has written over 25 originals, rolling his own
blend of country, blues, soul and gospel, Marvin's
unique talents are second to none. |
