Once again it's summer time, and the local theater's bring us some of the biggest blockbusters of the year.  Below you will find movie reviews that we have experienced as a family, you'll not only get my point of view of the movie, but my Husbands also.  You'll find that like most couples, we don't always agree.  Our two boys who are 9 & 13, will also give ratings for these movies.  This way you get the whole family perspective, and will have a good idea of who will like the movie, and who will wish they'd seen something else.
The HULK            PG-13

Genre: Action/Adventure
Running time: 2 hours and 18 minutes
Starring:  Eric Bana, Jennifer Connelly, Sam Elliott, Nick Nolte. Directed by Ang Lee.

The mean, green comic book hero and T.V. star of the eighties is finally on the big screen. Bruce Banner ( The HULK) mutates into a green monster after his scientist father ( Nick Nolte) injects himself and passes on this strange power to his son. . The Hulk was a little to cute when he morphed green. Jennifer Conley plays his love interest; she is the daughter of Sam Elliot who works for the Government. They know about Bruce and want to take him out. You will have to watch the movie to see how it all plays out.

Mom's view: I am a girl of the seventies and eighties so I had to go see this movie.  The special effects were great.  I would give this movie a C.  It wasn't a waste of my money. It isn't a movie I am dying to go out and buy either.

Dad's  view:   being from the 80's I really did grow up as a Hulk fan. I was really looking forward to this movie coming out, and it didn't let me down. I loved the special effects, and the Hulk was 10 times better. I loved sharing the experience of sharing it with my kids. They got a little insight on what I grew up watching. I would love to go see it again, and I can't wait till it comes out on DVD! I will defiantly go out and buy this one. I would rate this movie a B.

Sawyers View:   I didn't think it was that good but it had some parts I liked. I don't want to buy it.
Rating:  c-

Finding Nemo       G

Genre: Family
Running time:1 hour and 41 minutes
Starring: Albert Brooks, Ellen DeGeneres, Willem Dafoe, Geoffrey Rush. Directed by Andrew Stanton.

This movie takes place in the Great Barrier Reef. A father (Marlin)  and son clownfish (Nemo)  are accidentally separated from each other. Nemo is taken to live in a fishtank in Sydney Australia. The father goes after his son to find and save him. Marlin runs into a forgetful fish named Dory (DeGeneres). They run into lots of wild encounters along their way and many different creatures.  This movie is tells all about a fathers love for his son and just how far he will go to care for his child.

Mom's view:  I don’t watch cartoons… can’t stand them. BUT… I got dragged along to this movie by my family. What a sacrifice. I am so glad they had to force me into this one. It was the best cartoon I have seen in a long time. I will go buy this one the day it comes out and watch it over and over. Lots of great color, tons of humor and real life feelings makes this a top rate movie. I give this movie an A+. I can’t imagine anyone not enjoying this movie.

Dad's view:  Finding Nemo was one of Disney’s FINEST yet. The animation was awesome….the storyline kept you interested….and you couldn’t help but fall in love with the characters. I will go out and buy this one. I know that it will get watched over and over again. I have to rate this movie an A. If you haven’t seen it yet, no matter what the age, you need to. You will be in for a treat.

Sawyers View:  I liked this movie allot. I liked the sea turtles and the sharks. My favorite was Dori, she had a bad memory and she was funny.
